Traditionally used to treat gastric ulcers and inflammation of the internal organs and is also known as a cleansing and detoxifying herb. Calendula also has antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions making this a beautiful addition to the Happy Cleanse tea blend.
St Mary’s: Historical extensive use of St Mary’s (Milk Thistle) going back 2000 years. It is Indigenous to the Mediterranean and traditionally used to treat liver and gallbladder complaints. St Mary’s has liver protective, liver restorative and antioxidant actions.
Dandelion Root: Has a significant ancient history traditionally used as a liver tonic and to promote digestion. Today herbalist use dandelion to aid in liver and gallbladder ailments and intestinal complaints such as flatulence, bloating, loss of appetite and constipation.
Turmeric: Used for over 4,000 years in Indian culture for medicine, food and religion. Known as the ‘spice of life’ and symbolises the sun in Hinduism.
